When we watch how dodgeball is played, we should ask ourselves why schools used to allow this game to be played it is so cruel if you see the game as just a game, you and your teens will be fine with this movie if you see dodgeball as a way to teach children about life, you and your whole family should avoid this movie. Movie review. i have to confess that i went into dodgeball: a true underdog story amused by its premise and hopeful that it would do the sport of dodgeball proud! if ever there was an experience most of us can relate to, surely getting thunked on the head with a red rubber ball during grade school pe qualifies.. The film "dodgeball: a true underdog story" while maybe be offensive at times, the film really brings it back up to place with the humor. you really can't help but laugh at the movie a couple times. sort of like "zoolander", another great flick with ben stiller, it's so stupid you've gotta love it. i would recommend this film for a good laugh..
