Regulated power supply – block diagram a regulated power supply essentially consists of an ordinary power supply and a voltage regulating device, as illustrated in the figure the output from an ordinary power supply is fed to the voltage regulating device that provides the final output. Block diagram of power supply with explanation. In this video i explain in detail how does a flyback switching power supply work i show a smps from a dvd player as an example, i draw a schematic of it and i explain how does it work using this.

Methods for generating amplitude modulation – engineering

The electronic power supply integrated with the switching regulator for converting the electrical power efficiently from one form to another form with desired characteristics is called as switch-mode power supply it is used to obtain regulated dc output voltage from unregulated ac or dc input voltage switch mode power supply. Fig. 3.0.1 shows a block diagram example of a typical smps with an ac mains (line) input and a regulated dc output. the output rectification and filter are isolated from the high frequency switching section by a high frequency transformer, and voltage control feedback is via an opto isolator.. Switch mode power supplies (smpss) are used in a range of applications as an efficient and effective source of power. this is in major part of their efficiency. for anybody still working on a desktop, look for the fan output in the central processing units (cpu). that’s where the smps is. smps offers advantages in terms of size, weight, cost.
